More about the art:" 'Mirror Mirror' is the story of a man who has achieved self mastery, and who's hard work is echoing out in to the world in ways equal to his efforts. Kaytranada is one to watch in the coming years, you'll soon see his name everywhere, he's a pollinator come to transform music by merging energy with other creative geniuses in the world. To stick with the pollinator vibe, the inclusion of the moth, one of the worlds biggest pollinators, only made sense. The flowers depicted around are all shot in UV light, offering a glow in the dark, bioluminescent like view of these beautiful specimens. It is said that bees see flowers in this way, their glow brings them straight to them from afar. The crystals included all around are Weloganite, one of the only crystals to come out of Montreal, where Kaytranada originated. This stone has a beautiful shape, mimicking the structure of architecture in some variations. I took this to represent the completed temple within Kaytranada's mind, his inner palace perfected that he may work in the outer world with the guidance of divinity always there if he should need it. Finally we double back to the symbol of the serpent, depicted in ancient Egypt as an indication of an ascended master. The serpent represents Kundalini energy said to rise up our spine from the base up to the back of our head, and then up over the forehead. At the time this piece was started, I felt the placement as the top of his spine was most appropriate, as momentum around Kaytranada was at an all time high, but at such a young age only truly just beginning for him. In the 8 months since this painting started, we've seen him move into even greater form, and I'm certain the best is yet to come." ~ Adam One
