It wasn't his lifestyle or background, it was his spirit, the governing force of love that turned pain to pleasure, and freed the minds of many stuck in a world that fails to consider their existence.

This piece is a discussion on the current money system of our world, and a projection of it's place in our future. this piece was created as a tribute to the spirit radiating from within the urban environment. It’s effortless to witness harmony within nature, but can we see it where we are certain it doesn’t exist? Are those who have access to good food and healthy environments spiritually superior? Hip hop is a tale of transmutation, of transcending painful conditions and finding peace within a world at war. It is a cleansing process, seeding areas most in need of help with a philosophy for change. Where we get caught up on words and turned off by ideas is the mention of money and the feelings that creates within ourselves. From one lens this is deep materialism, acceptance of the system and propagation of it through participation. This piece suggests an alternate perspective, to transcend the world we wish didn’t exist we must first admit that it does truly exist. Money rules everything in this world, everyone in it. If we want to create a new paradigm, a world where we are free of oppression, it’s going to take a lot of money. Our dollar is the policy maker, not words, arguments, politics, votes..... those have all failed us. Perhaps our next monetary system will be tied to something deeper than paper, or more true than a gold standard backing.
