More about the art:

"The harnessing of fire is perhaps one of the most pivotal moments in human evolutionary history. It represents a change from the external to the internal world, from a subjective to objective experience. With fire we gained the ability to control our environment, to best the dangers of nature and to assimilate nutrients from a diverse food group base. These new abilities played a large role in the rapid expansion of our brain, over a few short generations, and opened up our faculties for forethought and imagination. To the Gods, this signified the beginning of humanity's destruction, a fall to the power of fire due to our failure to wield it properly. For his transgression of giving us fire, Prometheus was banned from the heavens and sentenced to an eternity of punishment on earth.

This piece depicts the release of Prometheus from his hold, and the return of his eternal form to the heavens as a new King. When we are able to wield these powers responsibly and with wisdom, we will move through yet another phase of evolution in which Prometheus is celebrated as one of our truest creators. His tale is one of empathy and love for humanity, a willingness to lose everything in the universe to see us through our growth." ~ Adam One
